People these days are fascinated with the idea of exploring different countries, rather than exploring what is on offer in their own back yard! Australia is home to so many natual wonders for travelers to see and explore. As Australians are encouraged not to holiday overseas due to Covid-19, now is the perfect time to purchase or borrow that 4WD, camper trailer or tent, and get exploring!  

 

Travelers can go from big city lights to sleepy coastal towns, and experience everything in between. There are thriving green rainforests, red dusty outback roads, remote oasis’, pure white-sand beaches, extremely large rock forms and the perfect barrels to surf. Traveling by car is a great way to see the outback, and to truly immerse yourself in the experience. There are so many great places to see and stay, so here is a list of some of our top picks!  

 

Fraser Coast, QLD 

The Fraser Coast is home to a number of World Heritage-listed natural wonders, unique diving experiences, stunning beaches, great views of humpback whale migration, as well as extensive military history. Whether you are looking to explore, relax by the beachside or enjoy an active holiday away with the kids – the Fraser Coast has something for everyone.

Experience the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and cycle, walk or ride on horseback to townships bursting with character. You can also take a scenic drive around the region’s reservoirs or discover the Whispering Wall.
